BO & CO was born in 1996 in Lacanau-Océan, from a friendship between Bernard and Olivier, both experienced surfers and long-time instructors with a passion for surfing and travel. Always on the lookout for innovation and areas for improvement, our team also relies on tried-and-tested logistics and quality equipment that is adapted and constantly renewed.

They have surrounded themselves with a team of excellent and experienced surf instructors, who will in turn pass on the basics and techniques to help you discover and progress in good spirits.
The BO & CO team welcomes you every day, from April to November, with its unfailing good humor and enthusiasm!
You’ll be greeted by our charming receptionists, who’ll take care of information and registration for the courses.
You’ll be equipped and accompanied on the beach by our dynamic caddies, who’ll guide you to the teachers and come back to pick you up at the end of your course to take you back to school.

Our wide range of surfboards, from fish to longboards, will enable you to learn and practice surfing adapted to your level and to different ocean conditions.
Whatever the weather, summer or winter, you’ll be able to surf in comfort and warmth, thanks to our partner Billabong’s wetsuits.
Ecole de Surf Plage Nord :
Comprising four containers, your school is located on the pedestrian access road to the North Beach, Boulevard du Maréchal Foch. We welcome you every day from April to November.
Quick access from the parking lot or the Airotel L’Océan campsite.
All-day parking for €3!
Grands Pins Surf School:
Located in the campsite Yelloh! This access is reserved for campsite residents.
At both locations, you can hire equipment and book lessons.
We recommend that you bring a swimsuit, towel and bottle of water. You can leave your bags and personal belongings at our reception desk.
In case you forget, we always have sun cream on hand, so don’t hesitate to ask!
Our school has two reception points.
If you’re not staying at Les Grands Pins, you’ll need to choose the Plage Nord antenna, a 2-minute walk from the North parking lot.
Bike parking is available right in front of the school!
No, not necessarily. Our beginners’ courses are held in areas where you have the best foothold!
We accept children aged 5 and over when ocean conditions are favorable.
Safety and fun are our top priorities. It’s important that your child wants to play in the waves.

Yes! At BO&CO, we believe that your surfing experience will always be better if shared with your loved ones.
That’s why we don’t create age groups or separate families (except by express request, of course!).
The 5-day half-time package is our surfing apprentices’ favorite!
This option allows you to make the most of your progress, while leaving you free to relax or discover our magnificent region.
The full-time free course is also an interesting option, allowing you to progress at your own pace and leaving you time to apply what you’ve learned in class on your own.

Yes, even if your levels are quite different, our qualified instructors will give you personalized advice so that all members of the group can both progress and share a unique, convivial experience.

Surf lessons last 2 hours, including 1h30 in the water.
It is not necessary to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment time.
The school reserves the right to cancel or postpone a lesson in the event of thunderstorms or bad weather preventing good surfing practice.
Our team will inform you as soon as possible.
The school reserves the right to cancel one or more sessions in the event of an emergency. Should this be the case, we will refund your session(s).
All cancellations must be accompanied by a medical certificate to obtain a refund.
If you represent an association, a works council or a school, we offer preferential rates to make surfing more accessible to groups.

Outdoor yoga sessions are held in fine weather from April to October.
The times of your surf lessons depend on the tides and weather conditions.
If you book your sessions weeks in advance, it’s possible that the timetable may change a few days before the start of your course.
We invite you to come and meet us on your arrival so that we can work out all the practical details together.
Yes, we regularly destock quality equipment such as Softech, Alder and BIC surfboards and Billabong wetsuits.
